Details
Durable, ambidextrous, and safe, CMC’s 3D Locking Bar Descender is ideal for rappelling, one- or two-person rescue lowers, and other technical uses.
Made of 100% aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel components, the 3D Locking Bar Descender features two sliding bars with horns that are compatible with 9.5 mm to 13 mm (3/8” to 1/2”) lifeline rope. The large horn size makes it easy to add or subtract friction as needed throughout the evolution. The device’s ambidextrous design allows you to load the descender from the top or the bottom, as well as to control descent or lock off the descender from either side of the device. The straight feed design prevents twists in the ropes you use, while the 3-stage center locking bar enhances safety. NFPA rated for general and technical use, the 3D Descender can be loaded or unloaded while connected to a harness for rappelling or to an anchor for one- or two-person rescue lowers.
