Details

Zico is now offering the first ever electric hands-free SCBA bracket.

The bracket is electronically controlled (12v switches) eliminating the need for a pull release. Donning the SCBA is fast and easy. The firefighter simply slips into the harness, and waits for the bracket to be disengaged. Once disengaged, simply stand up. No tugging needed. The bracket can be controlled by the parking brake, toggle switch, or any other 12v switched source. An adjustable footplate is included for on the fly variations in cylinder length adjustments.
  • Holds any self-contained breathing apparatus on the market
  • Disengagement can be controlled by the parking brake, toggle switch, or any other 12v switched source
  • Durable back plate and footplate are powder coated cast aluminum to provide years of trouble free service
  • Meets NFPA 1901-09 9G dynamic requirements for cylinder restraint systems for use in crew compartments

The steel back plate provides a strong backbone to the bracket. The back plate and footplate are powder coated cast aluminum to provide years of trouble free service. The electric locking bracket meets NFPA 1901-09 9G dynamic requirements for cylinder restraint systems for use in crew compartments and has been third party tested to over 10G.

Please Note: This bracket is NOT meant to be used in place of a seat belt when used with SCBA harness.

Mounting hardware is not included. QM-ELB requires a minimum of (2) mounting points at least 10" apart using 5/16" O.D. screws. A spacer is required between the QM-ELB back plate and the mounting surface. The mounting surface must be able to withstand a pull-out force of 450 lbs.

There are numerous ways the QM-ELB brackets can be connected electrically in a fire truck.
