Functional and comfortable but constantly bleeds color

Posted by Verified Buyer on Nov 18th 2017

Had these suspenders in full-time professional use for more than 3 years. They are comfortable and functional however every time I sweat while wearing them, red dye leeches from the suspenders and stains my shirt and coat liner. Not sure how long to expect this to continue but I didn't expect it to last this long. I'll order black again next time.

    Nice suspenders but painted?

Posted by Verified Buyer on Aug 1st 2017

I like the suspenders. They seem heavy duty, and I liked them as soon as I saw them. I did notice the reviews about the bleeding so the first thing I did was put them in hot water to try to bleed them.... Well, they bled. And then the red started peeling off. The red is some kind of paint or something rather than a dye, so it all came off. I just spent two hours cleaning all the red paint off, and now have decent looking suspenders with a red/natural tinge. I don't care for the red paint on them...

    Works well. Good product

My only concern is the amount of material at the end of the strap where the buttons come thru. Looks like eventually it will tear. So far they have worked well and are comfortable.

    You will love these suspenders

The suspenders bar comfortable and easy to use. I highly recommend them for anyone. Some people think that leather suspenders will dig into your shoulders. I have been using them for some time now and have not seen that to be the case.

Worth the money you won't be disappointed

I recommend these. They sit where they are supposed to. And are super comfortable on shoulder. I was surprised that they have a radio mic holder in the left side . Buy the red. Firemen wear read suspenders. Lol

    Good, but not perfect.

Posted by Verified Buyer on May 29th 2015

I've had these suspenders for a few months now and they're very comfortable, visible, and build well, but being that I sweat a lot, the red color bled out of them. Pretty bad. I ruined 2 shirts and stained the inside of my brand new turnout coat. I soaked them in water and sun dried them about 3 times and it helped, but they still bleed. So my advice is to wear dark shirts with them and to be okay with a stained inner shell. Other than that, I do really like the suspenders.

    These are great!

Posted by Verified Buyer on May 12th 2015

I bought these to replace my cloth suspenders that came with my gear. The old ones constantly stretch out and don't hold well. These are where I want them when I pull up my bunkers.

    Overall pretty good.

Other than the XL being listed for people over 6'-1"", which is why I got them (I'm 6'-4"") and it turning out that they were WAY too big they have been great. Yeah, I could have probably sent them back for the standard size, but they're leather and easily cut down to fit (and new holes punched). I wouldn't suggest getting the XL unless you're at least 6'-6"" or taller. Just my take. Otherwise I'm quite satisfied with them.

Like'm a lot. If your bunker pants do not have a higher back than front order the extra long
