    Great work boots

Posted by Verified Buyer on Jul 23rd 2014

These boots are extremely comfortable. The side zipper makes them very easy to put on, and they are surprisingly lightweight for having a safety toe. I wear them at work and love the way they feel. My only complaint is that they feel like they run a half size too big.

They're ok, lasted over a year

Posted by Verified Buyer on Dec 3rd 2013

Purchased these boots in October 2012 and in need of replacement about 14 months later. Per my pedometer I put about 2600 miles on them (yes, I'm that kind of dork). I work in a fire station which has 3 floors plus an epoxy truck bay floor plus I work part time landscaping. I use these boots for both jobs. Overall they're ok boots, lasted longer then some of the other Thorogood models I've tried. They're pretty light weight and kept my feet dry till the seems started to fail. Being a safety toed boot that was a bonus for both jobs. The one review is right however, the adhesive started to fail and the boots are simply coming apart. On my right boot the seam in the heel has just about completely failed which started about 2 months ago. I'm still wearing them but with the snow coming it's time for a new set. In the fire station usually the epoxy floors tear up the treads but these boots lasted a little longer as the heel is just starting to be eaten through. They're fine running up and down the stairs, there are getting a little tough to take off for fire calls, but when they were new they were pretty easy to slip on and off. As for landscaping they kept my feet dry, the outside is still in tact considering all the dings and scrapes they have endured over the summer months. What I liked about them is that they were steel tipped safety boots and waterproof. They lasted about a year which for me is about average. What I didn't like, they just fell apart, if the seams held up and the adhesive was a little strong I might have gotten the winter out of them. They're ok boots, like everybody else I don't want to spend a fortune for something but what I do buy I want it to last forever. I got these for under 100 dollars with shipping so I feel that I got my money's worth. I'm not endorsing or opposing the boot, just here's what I got out of it.
